Clearance Requirements

PCA teaching artists are required to maintain current clearances in accordance with Pennsylvania state law and school district policy. Clearances/certifications are a necessary step for ALL teachers, volunteers, and independent contractors working in the education field to help keep students safe from harm.

Some schools or community organizations may require that clearances are renewed every year, while some community organizations may not require them at all. It is a requirement for Northern Tier Partners for the Arts’ Teaching Artists to renew their clearances every FIVE years AND meet the host organization’s requirements.

Clearance fees are the responsibility of the teaching artist. Keep your original paperwork and submit copies to Northern Tier Partners for the Arts via email to ntpaie@bcrac.org, or mail a hard copy to 601 Main Street, Towanda, PA 18848.
